「孩子的教育不能等！」國際創新教育高峰論壇29日起，在台中市台灣大道市政大樓登場！邀請3位國際知名教育學者來台分享國外互動式教學經驗，並展出近4000本國外精彩童書，說故事大師麥克洛克博士深入偏鄉學校及醫院，為弱勢學童帶來精彩故事。

副市長徐中雄說，論壇邀請美國哈佛大學教育博士威利布列文斯、知名科學作家及古生物研究者克里斯多夫史隆、國際說故事大師麥克洛克博士等人；來台分享 「雙向」、「互動式」教學概念，及如何教育學生運用等多樣化平台尋找學習素材，習得正確學習方法。

說故事大師麥克洛克博士，29、30日前往和平區平等國小、梨山國中小；31日與市長夫人邵曉鈴到台中榮總拜訪重症童；4月1日到西屯國小、車籠埔國小拜訪身心障礙學童，加碼帶來一系列精采的「麥克爺爺說故事」。

教育局長吳榕?指出，美英8大書商特提供近4000本圖書及教材，3月31日至4月5日於台灣大道市政大樓舉辦 「國際童書展覽」；藉此培養學童接觸外文書籍，也讓老師了解國外英文教學如何進行。

論壇也規畫「未來教室觀摩及多媒體展館」，現場進行模擬教學演示。「行動科教館」，安排3D行動電影院及行動圖書車，啟發大眾對環保的關懷議題。
