留住眷村味 水交社公園獲金質獎

台南市南區水交社眷村搬遷後，空地規畫為公園，保留當時的牆基，看似一座迷宮。

全台第1座以眷村文化保存為主題的台南市南區水交社公園，獲得今年的國家卓越建設獎金質獎，代表台灣角逐全球卓越建設獎。

台南市政府工務局表示，水交社公園獲得國家卓越建設獎中「最佳環境與文化類」的金質獎，將在6月於台北接受頒獎表揚，水交社公園應是以保存「雷虎的故鄉」眷村文化的精神獲獎。

以空軍表演著稱的雷虎小組基地目前位在高雄岡山，但在50年代成軍時，基地在台南，眷社則集中在水交社，因此水交社又被稱為雷虎故鄉。

水交社近年拆除重劃，但市府保留部分的眷舍做為眷村文化園區的一部分，而涵蓋桂子山在內的水交社公園，也在園區範圍內，其中除了眷舍，還有目前全台唯一留存眷村內的診療所。

工務局在規畫公園時，保留眷村最具特色的狹展巷弄，讓民眾漫步其間。

此外，公園內還保留已拆除的眷舍的牆基，規畫為像迷宮般的公園設施，經過解說，民眾才了解「原來是牆基」，可想像艱困年代裡，一家多口擠在狹小眷舍的場景。
