除國際金融業務分行（OBU）外，證券商設立的國際證券業務分公司（OSU）開張後，也可以對境外非居住民銷售國內投信發行含新台幣計價的多幣別基金。

境外投資人將可透過在OBU、OSU的投資，間接參與投資國內股票市場。

OBU與OSU都屬虛擬的境外金融機構，最大差別是OBU只有境外非居住民才可以開戶，OSU則是除了境外非居住民外，境內的專業投資人也可以開戶。
