推出HTC Butterfly 2、Desire 820之後，HTC也預期在10月8日於紐約揭曉「HTC M8 EYE」新機，另一方面也再次傳出可能將在11月間推出新款旗艦機種「HTC M8_LIFE」的消息，並且可能就是日前傳聞的「HTC M8 Prime」，但目前並未獲得HTC方面證實。

微軟預計將在9月底於舊金山揭曉新版Windows作業系統，實際名稱將可能是Windows 9或Windows TH，並且將於發表當天或10月初釋出公開預覽測試版本，預計明年間正式推出。而微軟印尼總裁在稍早訪談中，更是進一步透露新版作業系統將免費提供升級說法，或許將以此與蘋果OS X系列作業系統競爭，進一步提昇作業系統使用市佔。

另外，聯想稍早確定完成收購IBM x86伺服器業務，未來將成為全球第三大伺服器產品供應廠商，預計之後完成收購Motorola Mobility，聯想也將成為全球第三大智慧型手機製作商。
