英特爾併購安華高旗下網路事業

（中央社台北2014年8月14日電）彭博報導，全球最大電腦晶片製造商─英特爾（Intel Corp. US-INTC）同意以6.50億美元向安華高科技公司（AvagoTechnologies Ltd. US-AVGO）收購Axxia網路事業。

總部位於新加坡的安華高聲明指出，英特爾將以現金收購Axxia。Axxia聘僱約650位員工，去年營收達到1.13億美元。

安華高的數據中心事業部副總史谷勒（RoseSchooler）線上聲明指出，收購Axxia將幫助英特爾提供更多晶片給手機服務供應商，並增強實力在其預期160億美元市場擴大銷售。

由於網路裝置和儲存設備業者藉使用基於英特爾技術的較低價伺服器，及降低對昂貴網路設備依賴來降低成本，幫助英特爾在上述產業伺服器銷售上出現斬獲。

英特爾週三在美股上漲2.9%收34.10美元，今年來累漲31%。（譯者：中央社徐睿承）
