洛杉磯湖人熱身賽首戰，「哈佛小子」林書豪擔任主力替補，表現精采，總教練Byron Scott認為他確實是球隊相當重要的活棋。

該役湖人先發控衛為Steve Nash，這位傷癒復出的傳奇控衛上場20分鐘，貢獻11分、5助攻，林書豪則是27分鐘，得1分，送出10次助攻。

「我們不清楚Steve現在的狀況，因此林書豪很可能每一場都得出賽。」Scott說。

「林書豪依然會有先發機會，而且他必須得上場更多時間。」Scott說。

新球季湖人將有16場「背靠背」比賽，「年邁」的Nash確實不太可能場場先發。
