皇家隊茂斯塔卡斯11局上揮出陽春砲，打破平手僵局。

美聯分區季後賽今天開打，皇家作客天使打到11局上半，皇家靠著第9棒的茂斯塔卡斯(Mike Moustakas)轟出陽春砲，終於打破平手僵局，11局下地主天使無力反攻，終場以2：3輸球，讓從外卡打進季後賽的皇家拿下重要首勝。

大聯盟戰績最佳的天使隊，今天陷入苦戰，9局打完仍與皇家戰成2：2平手，延長賽11局換上第5任投手薩拉斯(Fernando Salas)，但他一上場就被轟出全壘打，導致球隊輸球吞下敗仗。

皇家今天雖然贏球，但全場也動用8名投手，明天第2戰將派出溫杜拉(Yordano Ventura)先發，對上天使的修梅克(Matt Shoemaker)。
