五角大廈為地面部隊加入伊拉克戰鬥 打開了大門

美國最高軍事將領周三指出，如果在伊拉克的戰鬥，遭遇進一步困難，可能需要有限的美國地面部隊參與對伊斯蘭國民兵的作戰。

這項展望，可能考驗歐巴馬總統對布署地面部隊的嚴格禁令。

美國參謀長聯席會議主席Martin Dempsey將軍目前並未建議在伊拉克使用美國戰鬥部隊。

白宮說，這項談話並不代表與歐巴馬意見不同。

「清楚地說，當我相信，我們的顧問應當協同伊拉克部隊，攻擊ISIL的明確目標，我將會向總統提出建議，」Dempsey將軍在國會的聽證會上說。

在參院軍事委員會的聽證會上回答題時，Dempsey將軍說，他曾反對讓美國軍事顧問隨同前線的伊拉克部隊，也曾阻止指揮官要求派遣美國顧問加入戰門，呼應空襲。

但他表示，他對歐巴馬的建議可能改變，視地面情況而定。
