健康為由 惠普代理董座閃辭

惠普發布新聞稿說，代董事長惠特沃斯（Ralph Whitworth）因健康因素辭職，董事會下次開會將任命新人選。

惠特沃斯去年4月獲任命暫代董事長，接替下台的藍恩。在他董事任內，惠普聘用新執行長惠特曼（Meg Whitman）。惠特曼上台後裁員1.6萬人。

惠普今年以來至14日為止股價上漲22%。

彭博報導，惠普代理董事長惠特沃斯（Ralph Whitworth）因健康因素，已向董事會請辭。

惠普（Hewlett-Packard Co. ）今天在聲明稿中指出，現年58歲的惠特沃斯也向他旗下的投資公司Relational Investors LLC告假一段時間。惠普董事會下次集會時將商討任命新董事長。

自2011年以來，惠特沃斯一直是惠普董事會成員，2013年4月接替雷恩（Ray Lane）掌代理董座。雷恩在前任執行長艾波德克（Leo Apotheker）走人後也宣布下台。

在惠特沃斯任內下，惠普聘用了新執行長惠特曼（Meg Whitman）。惠特曼上台後力挽狂瀾，在裁員3.4萬人後，還打算再裁1.6萬人。
