矽智財（Silicon Intellectual Property，SIP，簡稱IP）：IP廠商主要指沒有晶圓廠，也不生產晶片，單純出售電路設計架構的智慧財產授權公司，屬於「腦」力密集公司，隨著晶片設計複雜化與系統單晶片時代來臨，使用IP成為縮短產品開發時間的最佳選擇，根據Gartner統計，2013年半導體IP龍頭為安謀，市佔率達43.2%，其次則是Synopsys（新思科技）與Imagination Technologies，各佔13.9%與9%，台灣主要IP業者有智原（3035）、創意（3443）、力旺（3529）等。（記者卓怡君）
