如此士官長　檜木自己運下山

位於阿里山海軍雷達站的謝姓士官長（36歲），昨天傍晚駕駛休旅車行經阿里山公路78公里處時，遭警攔檢查獲車上載有12塊紅檜，謝姓士官長辯稱近來雷達站整理週邊環境挖掘出10多塊腐朽木塊，不知違法。
 
林務局人員檢視這些紅檜都是多年腐朽的殘材，沒有明顯鋸痕，懷疑是以前雷達站興建時殘留下來的木頭。
 
警方表示，紅檜屬國家級珍貴木材，屬於國有不能任意撿拾，仍依違反森林法送辦。（李宗祐／嘉義報導）
