1921年，科學家米基利製出四乙基鉛作為抗爆劑，讓含鉛汽油成為比乙醇更泛用而且便宜的汽車燃料。但鉛有劇毒，它能被人體骨骼、牙齒、血液吸收，損害腎臟、身體生長，引發腹部疼痛、貧血、傷害神經系統。研究顯示，孕婦暴露在含鉛環境阻礙胎兒生長。鉛中毒的小孩與大人產生頭痛、智商減退，甚至引發脫序或攻擊行為。

90年代初期，美國經濟學家奈文思考，政府是否應該花巨資，清除城市中老房子所塗的含鉛油漆，當時大家都知道鉛會傷腦，身體需要幾年才能排除毒素。他進一步想到，環境中的鉛隨時間累積，是否影響人的行為，最終形成犯罪？他計算汽油的鉛含量升降，與現代歷史犯罪率對照，發現鉛量消長與20年後的犯罪率呈正相關。

另一位美國經濟學家沃帕-雷耶斯觀察各州從70年代停用有鉛汽油後，與90年代犯罪減少的關聯，用統計技術排除其他引發犯罪的因素，研究結果也支持上述理論。他說，「鉛改變我們人，假如你不同意，請提供你對這項特殊關聯的解讀」。

英國泰晤士報高等教育專刊今天公布， 2014 年創校未滿50年的全球前100名大學調查結果排名，台灣有4所大學進榜，中山大學排名第40名，其次為台灣科技大學第 42、陽明大學第96名，亞洲大學為新進榜排名第99名。

2014年排名前5的大學依序是南韓浦項科技大學（ Postech ）、瑞士洛桑聯邦理工學院（Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne ）、韓國高等科學技術研究院（ KAIST ）、香港科技大學、新加坡南洋理工大學。

泰晤士報高等教育專刊全球新興潛力大學的指標，包括研究、論文引用數、教學、國際化、企業收入與創新等13項指標，和Times全球大學排名的指標相同，但降低聲譽指標，因他們認為歷史悠久的學校，在聲譽這種主觀指標上較有優勢，潛力百大特別強調的是這些年輕學校的客觀表現，注重學校的研究能量與影響力、教學環境等表現，用現階段表現來評斷未來潛力。

全國勞工敢來個大罷工嗎?

例如國外的教師覺得薪水差就來個罷工,政府敢不為所動嗎?

大家只怕沒收入不怕薪水爛,所以造就你不做也有人搶著做. 你知道在信義XX的清潔人員薪水是最低基本工資嗎,多掃個廁所只加50元,你知道到了假日那個廁所有多恐怖嗎,尤其是女廁,每天工作超過8小時,工作天數超過勞基法天數,假日還沒得放. 吃飯喝水還要躲在沒有冷氣還放一堆冰箱都熱氣的休息室內. 他們也只求有個薪水,怕沒有工作.

如果台灣的勞工敢來個全國性大罷工個一個月,重創經濟,你看企業主和政府敢不出來談嗎,一切都是自找的

當政府和企業跟你說共體時艱,請問現在薪水差到底誰在跟你共體時艱,政府有嗎,老闆有嗎? 如果有怎麼會貧富越差越大,大到妳女兒連買房都不敢?

現在的就業環境根本不是沒有功勞也有苦勞,就算有功勞只要談到薪水老闆就寧願重新找奴才也不要人才,看到一堆名嘴說價值是自己製造的,不該怪政府,但如果政府真的沒有錯為何跟我一樣的魯蛇越來越多?

一堆商業週刊也一直告訴你be a人才,提升價值,但是實是台灣的老闆要的是便宜而體力充足的牛,他們才不要也不敢用高等智慧的人,因為成本太高,他們也控制不了. 其實台灣企業主的經濟學都只學皮毛,就是cost down,其他一律不合格. 整府應該要讓請人的企業主考個經濟證照才准當老闆.

法務部長羅瑩雪去年9月上任後，昨首度執行死刑，北中南東四監所槍決5死囚，其中杜氏兄弟伏法前，謊稱已聲請再審，多活40分鐘。

今日出版的《蘋果》報導，「忘恩雙煞」杜氏兄弟因父親杜清水經商失利，父子3人在中國投靠台商葉明義，白吃白住多年後竟忘恩負義，割頸殺害葉男等5人，且劫走247萬人民幣。兄弟昨躲死劫，撒謊有聲請再審，查證確認後予以槍決，因此多活40分鐘。外界質疑槍決是否轉移核四議題，法務部強調「沒有政治動機」。（陳亮諭／綜合報導）
